AVG vpn provides a solid selection of features for a low cost. It does not keep any logs of usage, but uses the OpenVPN protocol to safeguard users. It is able to unblock Netflix US, BBC iPlayer and Hulu. It also has approximately eight P2P servers for torrenting. Its software is simple to use and features a clutter-free interface. It can be set to automatically connect to the VPN every time you connect to a wi-fi connection or manually select which networks it will connect to. To do so, open the Network Security menu in the app and click the Edit Networks button. You can choose which wi-fi networks the VPN should connect to and disable or allow its automatic connection on startup.

AVG Secure VPN isn’t the most reliable choice on the market due to a few serious weaknesses. Its server network is comparatively small. In our tests, we were able to stream Netflix on four out of five streaming servers. Furthermore, some of its servers were blocked by Netflix due to unknown reasons.

Another issue is that AVG Secure VPN does not offer monthly pricing plans, just yearly subscriptions. This means it is more expensive than its competitors, offering cheaper monthly subscriptions. In addition, its customer service channels are Continued limited and not very helpful. With all the drawbacks it is recommended to look for other alternatives like Surfshark, ExpressVPN, or NordVPN.
